Bright Eyes debut in Portugal at NOS Alive’25
TICKETS AND FNAC FAN PACK AVAILABLE AT ALIVE'25
Bright Eyes are the latest addition to the lineup for the 17th edition of NOS Alive. The North American band founded by Conor Oberst will perform for the first time in Portugal on July 12th on the festival’s Heineken Stage.
Five Dice, All Threes, is the band’s new and 10th studio album, which almost 3 decades after its beginning continues to be one of the references of North American indie rock. Featuring collaborations with the likes of Cat Power, Matt Berninger of The National and Alex Orange Drink of The So So Glos, the album, produced by the band themselves and recorded at Mike and Conor’s ARC studio in Omaha, Nebraska, is one of rare intensity and tenderness, a collective exorcism and personal exploration.
The trio formed by Conor, Mike and Nate continues to operate in distinct movements: each unique in sound and narrative, but always guided by a growing ambition and emotional intensity. Even with this rich history, the new songs convey a visceral emotion like nothing they’ve attempted before.
As is customary in Bright Eyes’ work, the music is loaded with subliminal messages that invite attentive listening — a characteristic touch from a band that has always treated the creation of an album as a work of art. On the new songs, the trio embraces the indescribable quality that has made them so enduring and influential across generations and genres, bringing Omaha’s intimate sound to devoted audiences around the world.
In Conor’s songwriting, there is a promise that our loneliest thoughts and feelings can take on greater forms when shared among friends, amplified on loudspeakers, or sung among crowds. In Five Dice, All Threes, Bright Eyes celebrates these beliefs with a song that feels vibrant, as if we’re all in the room with them, shouting together and gaining strength to carry on. It’s not just a throwback to the classic Bright Eyes sound; it’s also a glimpse into the band’s future.
Bright Eyes’ big debut at Passeio Marítimo de Algés is scheduled for July 12th, on the Heineken Stage at NOS Alive’25.
