‘Sombra’, which is part of the official selection, in competition, is the second feature film by Bruno Gascon and is based on real stories of missing Portuguese children.
The film is starring Ana Moreira, leading a cast with Vítor Norte, Lúcia Moniz, Sara Sampaio, José Raposo, Ana Bustorff, Miguel Borges, Joana Ribeiro, among others.
‘Sombra’ has the support of the Portuguese Association of Missing Children, the distribution rights were acquired by NOS, while RTP bought the television rights.
Bruno Gascon made his feature films debut with ‘Carga’ in 2018.
The Barcelona Film Festival – Sant Jordi, which is mainly dedicated to cinema inspired by literary works or true stories and personalities, is in its fifth edition from April 15th to 23rd.
