Building the Future brought 21 thousand participants online

For three days, Building the Future was Activating Portugal and re-imagining a better future to face the global challenges that Portugal faces. The third edition, the most global ever, focused on the themes of Sustainability, Economy, Innovation, Trust, Data, Industry, Health, Skilling, Impact and Education

There were 21 thousand online participants who watched the live broadcast of the three days of the third edition of Building the Future. which took place on the 26th, 27th, and 28th of January. With about 150 thousand unique viewers, the event brought together more than 300 speakers in 131 sessions, with 34 partners, 20 startups over more than 100 hours of online transmission, 11 thousand connections, 2 thousand meetings, and a day entirely dedicated to transformation digital in Education.

An extraordinary set of people was brought together with a single objective: to show that, for each challenge, there is a solution waiting to be found. The solutions proposed and presented to the 21 thousand participants who followed these three days are the result of a vision for Portugal that intends to infect public and private decision-makers, entrepreneurs, entrepreneurs, students, teachers and the entire educational community.

This was also the largest meeting of the national business ecosystem dedicated to digital transformation and resulted in a moment of reflection on the themes that are defining our daily lives and which impact on the economic recovery of the Portuguese business fabric, as well as on new models of education and training .

The last day of the event was also marked by the positive balance of Paula Panarra, Director General of Microsoft Portugal, who thanked the entire community involved in this third edition of Building the Future: “In a year in which it is so relevant to address issues inherent to the economic recovery driven by digital, and to new models of education and training, as well as helping to re-imagine a better future for our country, my thanks go to all those who helped to make these days unforgettable. From the community of partners to the speakers, to those who attended. We are building the future together“.
