Cape Verde now beat Liberia, 1-0, with a goal in the 90th minute.
The Cape Verdean team only depends on itself to qualify for the Mundial2022, with another victory in Group C of the African zone, now over Liberia, after having won by 2-1 on Wednesday.
The victory was achieved with a goal Ryan Mendes, in the 90th minute, in this game played at Adérito Sena Stadium, in São Vicente, in the other group game Nigeria was the Central African Republic winning 2-0.
Nigeria maintains the leadership of the group, with nine points, Cape Verde with seven, the Central African Republic with four and Liberia with three.
Cape Verde can thus continue to aim at qualifying for the World Cup, just for that, winning the two remaining games, against the Central African Republic and Nigeria.
