Café Joyeux Brings the Magic of Christmas and Inclusion to Casino Estoril
Café Joyeux celebrates Christmas with music and inclusion on December 21st, with the 7th edition of its Charity Concert.
Café Joyeux will host the 7th edition of the Joyeux Christmas Solidarity Concert on December 21st, 2025, in the Salão Preto e Prata at Casino Estoril. This event will bring together music, Christmas, and inclusion to celebrate talent, differences, and opportunities.
This year, the journey takes us through great Disney classics: from Frozen to The Lion King, from Hercules to The Little Mermaid, including Aladdin, Moana, and Toy Story. In approximately one hour, a cast of musical theatre artists, under the musical direction of António Andrade Santos, will bring these universes to life through live performances, arrangements created for this edition, interactive moments, and thematic projections, in an environment designed to enchant children and adults alike.
This is also the first show in Portugal to use artificial intelligence, from the animated films created by Café Joyeux employees and inspired by Disney’s imagination, to the creation of the sets that will enchant the evening of December 21st. The campaign and set design were handled by Instinct.
The afternoon begins earlier, with the now-traditional Joyeux Christmas Market, which opens its doors at 4:30 PM. Among solidarity stalls, products made with love, entertainment for children, and a very special visit from Lapland, the space transforms into a true meeting point for families and friends.
The Joyeux Christmas Solidarity Concert will be presented by Sofia Cerveira, who will narrate this journey through Disney classics. Throughout the show, the presenter will connect the stories, the music, and the mission of Café Joyeux, introducing each moment and guiding the audience through themes such as courage, authenticity, friendship, and diversity.
The show, which starts at 6 pm, promises to be much more than a spectacle. It’s a living reflection of Café Joyeux’s mission: to create real, dignified jobs for young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, in professional environments open to the community. Each edition directly contributes to more training hours, more professional integrations, and more doors opening for those who so often face closed doors.
“At Café Joyeux, we believe that inclusion is not a concept; it’s something that is built every day, with work, trust, and genuine relationships. Every young person we train and employ gains autonomy, purpose, and a place in society. And every person who joins us – in a café, at a concert, or in a gesture of solidarity – also becomes part of this change,” says Filipa Pinto Coelho, president of the VilacomVida Association and CEO of Café Joyeux Portugal.
The 7th edition of the Joyeux Christmas Solidarity Concert reaffirms itself as a moment of sharing, emotion, and real impact, where music helps to remind us that a more inclusive society is built with simple gestures, happy encounters, and concrete opportunities.
