Caleb Ewan wins Down Under Classic and Ruben Guerrero is 30th

Australian cyclist Caleb Ewan (Lotto-Soudal) today beat Down Under Classic in Adelaide, Australia, with Ruben Guerreiro (Katusha-Alpecin) finishing 30th.

In a reduced sprint due to a fall in the last kilometre, Ewan was imposed at 1: 03.59 hours, beating the Slovakian Peter Sagan (Bora-Hansgrohe) and compatriot Alexander Edmonson (Mitchelton-Scott).

In a race with no set timing (one hour, one lap), Guerreiro was 30th, 32 seconds, and Ivo Oliveira (UAE-Emirates) finished 122nd at 2.36 minutes.

Down Under Classic precedes the Tour Down Under, the first race of the World Tour, to be held in Australia, starting on Tuesday.
