CALEMA confirmed for MEO Marés Vivas 2025
CALEMA will be present on the MEO MARÉS VIVAS stage on July 20th. The duo made up of brothers Fradique and António, has already won over the Portuguese public with their captivating music and emotionally charged lyrics.
With roots in São Tomé and Príncipe, but fully integrated into contemporary Portuguese music, Calema mix African sounds with modern pop, creating a unique and recognizable style.
Since the release of their debut album Bomu Kêlê in 2025, the band has continued to grow, accumulating hits such as “A Nossa Vez” and “Te amo”. With millions of streams on digital platforms and a strong presence on social media, Calema has established itself as one of the biggest phenomena in Portuguese-language music, representing a new generation of artists who unite cultures and emotions.
The Calema duo promises to bring unique moments to the MEO Marés Vivas audience in a concert that celebrates Portuguese-speaking music, with lots of smiles, emotions and culture. On the same day, Brazilian singer Pedro Sampaio takes to the stage.
MEO MARÉS VIVAS takes place from July 18 to 20, 2025, in Vila Nova de Gaia and promises to bring together the biggest names in national and international music. With a diverse line-up that includes rock, pop and alternative music, the festival is a reference in the summer events scene in Portugal.
