The British Calum Scott, one of the most successful singers of the last ten years, is performing in Portugal in 2023 and brings some of his main hits, such as “Dancing on My Own” or “You Are The Reason”, as well as the themes of his most recent album, edited in 2022 “Bridges”.
Calum Scott is one of the artists of the moment, synonymous with success with each of his releases, achieving numbers that only impress those who have never heard him. When he started to stand out on the show “Britain’s Got Talent”, in 2015, it was already evident that the future could only be bright for Calum. And the public was not mistaken.
Right on the first album, “Only Human”, Calum rose to the top position of iTunes top in over 20 countries, reaching a million records sold and more than one billion auditions on streaming platforms. Singles such as “Dancing on My Own”, “Rhythm Inside”, “What I Miss Most”, “No Matter What” or “You Are The Reason” explain the success of the British musician. Dedicated to melodies that stick in the head, with raw and emotional lyrics, never afraid to explore his own vulnerabilities, Calum Scott owns a voice in line with the best interpreters in the history of pop music.
After the numbers achieved with the success of the first album, the numerous nominations for awards, such as the Brit Award, and sold-out concerts all over the place, Calum Scott set out to challenge a second album, with the same ambition: to play the hearts of the public (now on a planetary scale), singing with the same truth as ever.
The result is called “Bridges”, with production by names like Gabe Simon (Maroon 5, Rag’n’Bone Man) or Jon Maguire (James Bay, Liam Payne, Rita Ora). Released in 2022, this new record by the British musician passes the difficult test of succeeding the resounding success of “Only Human”. Calum’s voice appears untouchable and the songs once again have an overwhelming force: “Biblical”, “Rise”, “If You Ever Change Your Mind”, “Heaven” or “Boys in the Street” are some of the songs that promise to stay in the ears of millions of people around the world. With the usual pop appeal, these songs also do not shy away from the most difficult themes, such as the need to build bridges even when it seems impossible, some family ties marked by pain, and the dramas of adult relationships.
With “Bridges” in his luggage and a series of songs that seem to come out of a career spanning more than twenty years (his first album only came out in 2018), Calum will be in Portugal on April 20, 2023, at the Hard Club in Porto, and April 21 and 22, 2023, at Capitólio in Lisbon, for three concerts not to be missed.
