The Jacobeu Year celebrations continue to pass through Porto, now with a themed promotional video dedicated to the Caminhos de Santiago that cross the city.
The narrative illustrates the itinerary of a pilgrim along the Caminhos de Santiago in Porto, a journey today that takes us back to medieval times. In addition to the appreciation and beauty of the Historic Center’s layout, several points of heritage, religious, and tourist interest stand out, with relevance to the monuments and churches with elements alluding to Santiago.
The promotional video is, at the same time, a support guide for potential pilgrims: the pilgrim support center at Capela das Verdades, the accommodation, where the credential is stamped and the rest points, are aspects revealed throughout history.
The aerial view over the Portuguese sidewalk of Praça de Carlos Alberto stands out, in the shape of a scallop, one of the Jacobean symbols, and which highlights the importance of Santiago’s spiritual and cultural itinerary for the city of Porto.
