Inspired by the strength of José Afonso’s original song, Bruno Chaveiro recorded a renewed interpretation in the year that celebrated the 50th anniversary of 25 de Abril, as a way to honour the work, its author and also the historical importance of the moment.
“Canção de Embalar” is a celebration of music as an expression of freedom that combines the tenderness of a lullaby melody with the intense depth of your poem, intending to remind you that the struggle for a better world is also made of love.
A “fight” whose weapons chosen by Bruno Chaveiro are the Portuguese guitar and voice, and it is with them that he shares a song of hope and recalls the achievements achieved by his predecessors, which today allow him to boost his dreams.
In the video, he wanted to express the intensity of his recognition for the different generations: past, present and future, with the emotional participation of his grandmother, Gertrudes Laranjinha, mother Maria do Céu Gatinho and sister Susana Chaveiro.
