This post is also available in: Português (Portuguese (Portugal))

After the huge success of the Candlelight Open Air concerts, Fever announces the new Candlelight Ballet: The Nutcracker, which will include some of Tchaikovsky’s best-known works, performed by the String Quartet Quarteto Intempus, on June 30th, at Porto Palácio Hotel & Spa, in Porto.

This time, the intimate candlelit concert format, which takes place in idyllic spaces, brings to the elegant setting of Porto Palácio Hotel & Spa some of the most mythical works by the Russian composer, in an intimate candlelit atmosphere, which includes even a fifteen-minute ballet performance. During the concert some of the most famous works by Tchaikovsky can be heard, such as the ‘Waltz’ and ‘Dance of the Swans’ from ‘Lake of the Swans’, or the ‘Russian Dance’ and the ‘Dança da Fada’ do Açúcar’, from ‘Quebra Nuzes’.

With two sessions available, at 7:30 pm and 9:30 pm, tickets can be purchased on Fever’s website or app from €15.00 per person, a value that varies depending on the type of ticket selected. The show lasts 60 minutes, with the doors opening 30 minutes before.

The famous concerts totally dedicated to classical music by candlelight, now bring a new cultural proposal and a completely safe experience for the Portuguese, entirely dedicated to the famous Russian composer.

Candlelight are instrumental classical music concerts, featuring iconic pieces at an affordable price, while opening up unique spaces of each city’s cultural heritage to the community, as they are not performed in common theaters. This original Fever concept managed to bring classical music to a whole new audience, with 70% of participants under 40 in more than 40 cities around the world.
