The publisher Mais 5 reveals that the album Cantigas do Maio by José Afonso comes out on April 22.
This is another edition, released under the new Mais 5 label, available in physical format (CD and Vinyl) and, for the first time, on digital platforms. Before the release of the album Cantigas do Maio on April 22, it will be preceded by the edition of two singles: Senhor Arcanjo (on March 11) and Cantigas do Maio (on April 1).

Then, on the human and of this venture, to count on several incredible people, key in this process, from Alain Vachier who accompanied the artist on the road in so many adventures, to José Santa-Bárbara, author of the fantastic covers of these historic records and who is collaborating with our designer , João Morais… in short: we hope to restore the music of José Afonso to Portugal, to the Portuguese and to the whole world.”
These editions of José Afonso‘s work began in October 2021 with the album Cantares do Andarilho, Contos Velhos, Novos Rumos and Traz Outro Amigo Também.
