Come visit Lindoso, a tourist village in the municipality of Ponte da Barca
The castle and the set of granaries that it presents enhance this rural nucleus, inserted in the Peneda-Gerês National Park, from which one can glimpse a sublime landscape over the Lindoso reservoir.
In addition to the castle, the village of Lindoso has a valuable built heritage, which includes the pillory, granaries and community threshing floors, the castle cruise, the medieval bridge, and the Parada water mills, medieval sidewalks, the Cidadelhe castle, and the churches parishes of São Mamede, Santa Maria Madalena and Santo André, in addition to the Peneda-Gerês National Park.
With so much to see and enjoy, it is best to stay in the village for a couple of days – the offer is great. As for gastronomy, it is also very varied and does not dispense with sarrabulho porridge, roast beef in the Minho style, Portuguese stew, roasted kid, barrosã steak, smoked meat (sausages and ham), lamprey, trout, green wine and honey.
After being well-stocked gastronomically, you can delight yourself with all the surrounding landscape, following the trail of Moinhos de Parada, a pedestrian route of seven kilometers.
