Singer Yumi Matsuzawa is the newest addition to IBERANIME

A reference in the anisong universe, Yumi Matsuzawa gained notoriety with the songs from the series “Saint Seya” (“Knights of the Zodiac”), she joins Fate Gear, Reika and AC Raps on the guest list for this year’s edition.

IBERANIME revealed another confirmation in this year’s line-up. Singer Yumi Matsuzawa joins the group of musical guests at the event that will take place between May 17th and 18th, in Santarém. The artist is one of the main names in anisong, the musical genre composed of songs that play at the beginning and end of anime films and series.

Yumi Matsuzawa began her career in 1996, with the iconic opening theme for the anime “Martian Successor Nadesico”, “YOU GET TO BURNING”. The singer gained notoriety with the songs for the popular series “Saint Seya”, with themes such as “Chikyuugi”, “Kimi to Onaji Aozora” and “Takusu Mono e: My Dear”.

In 2016, after facing and overcoming breast cancer, Yumi embarked on a journey to inspire and support other patients through music. Two years later he released the album “Eien no Seed”, which includes a song in Portuguese.

With a striking voice, Yumi Matsuzawa has performed in several countries and now returns to Portugal and IBERANIME, after having already been present at the event in 2019.

The IBERANIME poster is taking shape. Yumi Matsuzawa joins the already confirmed presences of the band Fate Gear, cosplayer Reika and AC Raps.

Ticket prices for the 2025 edition of IBERANIME have not changed compared to last year. The 2nd phase of ticket sales takes place at this time, priced at 20 euros; in the 3rd phase, the price will be 25 euros (daily and adult ticket prices).
