Cape Verde cancels all sports competitions

The sports federations of Cape Verde will cancel all competitions related to this sports season, as suggested by the Government, as a health security measure for sports agents because of the covid-19, it was announced today.

In March, when the first case of covid-19 appeared in Cape Verde, sports federations suspended all national championships for three weeks, as requested by the Government, to prevent the spread of the pandemic.

The suspension is now canceled for this sporting season, according to the minister, who said that all federations agreed with this new suggestion from the Government, except the Chess Federation, which will continue to hold its online championship until December.
