Capital da Bulgária reveals “sozinha”
Artist debuts live in Porto on December 4th at Maus Hábitos
“sozinha” is the new single from Capital da Bulgária, available from today on all streaming platforms, with an official music video on the artist’s YouTube channel.
Deep, dark, and direct, the song opens a new phase in the singer and producer’s musical language, where vulnerability ceases to be a whisper and moves to the center of the song.
The artist describes “sozinha” as a pure portrait of what she feels in her professional life. “It’s a song about how alone I feel in my career, and how much I think I deserve not to be,” she explains. “It’s arrogant, it’s my most confident side, it’s small, but it exists.”
The image it carries is universal: the feeling of being left out, even when you know you have value. “It’s like when we were kids, and nobody chose us for the team. We know we have something to give, but nobody wants it.” This frustration gains strength in the second verse, where the artist assumes a fiercer, almost insolent side. “It seems like everyone owes me and nobody pays me.”
The sound takes the song even further. Produced by Capital da Bulgária and Seis, with mixing and mastering by Bassú, “sozinha” stands out for its weight, dense texture, and dark atmosphere. This is a less usual aesthetic direction in the artist’s repertoire and marks a significant leap in her evolution.
In early December, on the 4th, Capital da Bulgária will perform at Maus Hábitos with a special show, marking her debut as a solo artist in Porto. The artist will reconstruct her bedroom in life-size on stage, in an immersive performance that invites the audience to enter the space where many of her songs were born. An intimate and sensory experience, conceived as the inaugural chapter of this new artistic path.
