Cari Construtores will renovate the old Hotel Bragança in Coimbra. The project, promoted by Hotel Oslo, combines history with modernity, with an investment of more than 3 million euros and is located in the protected area of the UNESCO-listed area of the University of Coimbra.
The renovated hotel will have 88 rooms, several with built-in kitchenettes, a restaurant area on the top floor, equipped with a magnificent rooftop with views of the river, two work rooms and, on the -1 floor, a leisure area with a swimming pool, changing room, gym and sauna.
Cari Construtores will use traditional construction processes, preserving the existing building from the period. The façade has also been maintained, having received a new metal floor.
“The project is of enormous importance for the city and the riverside area, offering a greater range of tourism options and promoting the city’s growth, which is already visible. The renovation of the Hotel Bragança will provide greater comfort, sensation and experience for tourism”, says João Rodrigues, from the construction management team at cari construtores.
The project stands out in the market for its combination of renovation, construction, innovation and energy efficiency, and the installation of photovoltaic panels on the roof is planned.
With a privileged location, next to the river and with a calm and relaxed view, the hotel will enhance the tourist offer, with the construction expected to be completed by mid-2026.
