Carlos Alberto Moniz celebrates 50 years of songs at Casino Estoril
On October 1, at 9 pm, Carlos Alberto Moniz stars in the show “50 Years Later…” at the Estoril Casino’s Black and Silver Room.
The artist presents, on World Music Day, his most recent original CD “O Amor Virá Mais Tarde” and also recovers other timeless successes. On the night of his career celebration, Carlos Alberto Moniz invites Rui Veloso, Lúcia Moniz, Silvestre Fonseca, Vitorino, Dani Silva and Samuel to the stage.
Born in the Azores, more specifically in Terceira Island, Carlos Alberto Moniz is considered one of the most complete artists on the national scene.
After debuting on RTP’s memorable “Zip-Zip” program, Carlos Alberto Moniz built a remarkable career as a musician, composer, conductor and interpreter of songs that are part of the collective memory of the country.
Carlos Araújo performs on guitar and viola, Hugo Carvalhais on double bass, Tico on mandolin and bandola and Luís Ruvina on Hammond A100.
And to celebrate half a century of songs in a night of memories turned to the future, Carlos Alberto Moniz welcomes, on stage, musicians of excellence who raise the silences, breaths and harmonies in songs that echo in the audience and reach each heart in an unexpected tension that unites word and music.
