The Popular Festivities of São Pedro return to Seixal from June 20 to 29
From June 20 to 29, the Popular Festivities of São Pedro will take place in Seixal. The festival features a vast program of activities in an atmosphere of celebration, tradition, and fun.
Carminho, Mickael Carreira, Carolina Deslandes, Calema, ProfJam, Djodje, Banza and Bárbara Tinoco will take to the stage. It is worth mentioning that Calema’s show will have a very special moment, which will be revealed soon. We will also give a stage to the young people of the municipality: I’m a Rock Star, Escola de Rock do Seixal, Vozes do Atlântico, Talentos sem Fronteiras and Renew Dance Academy.
The official opening will take place on June 20th, at 9 pm, with the Marchas Populares das Escolas, which will perform on Avenida da República.
«The Festas Populares de São Pedro are the first in the calendar of popular festivals in our municipality, and every edition welcomes national and local artists and thousands of visitors, in an atmosphere of fellowship, joy and lots of culture. There will be 10 days of lots of music, traditions, gastronomy, crafts and entertainment. More than just a festive event, the Festas de São Pedro are a true expression of Seixal’s cultural identity», says Paulo Silva, president of the Seixal City Council.
