The EP and the short film “Mulher” are the most recent projects by Carolina Deslandes, available on digital platforms
Carolina Deslandes won the Five Star Award 2021, as a Personality in the music field. The Five Star Award is an evaluation system that helps consumers to identify the best brands, products and services that exist on the market, so that their choices can be the most correct.
Also personalities from different areas are the target of this evaluation methodology, considered by the opinion polling companies to be the most complete and rigorous in the market. These results result from the consultation with 260,000 consumers, who over 9 months evaluated more than 900 brands, different personalities from different areas and the main media.
Carolina Deslandes receives this distinction days after the release of her long-awaited new EP, entitled “MULHER”, which she performed live at Capitólio, in an event that sold out in a few hours. This surprising new project by Carolina Deslandes is an EP, a short film and the maximum expression of an artist of causes, which transcends itself with each step it takes.
In this EP, Carolina Deslandes has the special participation of musicians such as Agir (who produced the themes “Tempestade”, “Apetece” and “Não Me Importo”) or Diogo Clemente (with whom he wrote the songs of “Sinais de Fumo”, “ Morada em Mim ”and“ Vergonha na Cara ”).
“MULHER” was #1 on iTunes, on the launch day, and Carolina Deslandes debuted as the face of the main playlists of streaming services – Pop PT from Spotify, Palco Pop from Tidal and Play Portugal from Apple Music. The single “Não Me Importo”, had direct entry to the top 100 of Spotify in Portugal.
In the short film “MULHER”, which Carolina Deslandes signs in partnership with, also a director, Filipe Correia dos Santos, we can listen to the new songs and watch the written fiction, narrated and starred by the artist. It has more than 150 thousand views on YouTube and was for a week in the top 15 trends of this digital platform.
The short film represents several generations of women victims of domestic violence. This launch was supported by MEO, which joined this project in order to raise awareness among the Portuguese people about this form of abuse.
