Carolina Deslandes is nominated for the MTV EMAs 2023
and releases new album in November
Carolina Deslandes is already one of the most acclaimed Portuguese artists of the 21st century and now joins the list of Portuguese artists who are in the running for national honors at European awards, including Bárbara Tinoco, Marisa Liz, Piruka, and Bispo.
The MTV European Music Awards (EMAs) will be handed out on November 5th and “the selection of national artists nominated for Best Portuguese Artist brings together unmissable names from the Portuguese music scene”, highlights MTV. The winner of the “Best Portuguese Act” category will be chosen by the public and voting is now open here.
This news comes simultaneously with the announcement of the artist’s new album, to be released in November. After the success of CAOS, released in March this year and which brings to life 16 songs in which Carolina addresses everyday life, love relationships, but also the role of women, the end of 2023 brings us CALMA, the second part of an album full of feeling and authenticity, with a very unique style that the singer-songwriter has already accustomed us to.
At the same time, the artist is preparing two special concerts where you can see and hear her greatest and most recent works. The culmination of the CAOS tour and the presentation of CALMA will mark the return of Carolina Deslandes, in her own name, to Lisbon, with her debut on the big stage at the Altice Arena on November 30th, and also at the Super Bock Arena, in Porto, on December 7th.
