Cascais Film Festival kicks off on the 23rd

Cascais Film Festival, which starts on the 23rd and ends on the 26th of September, at the Casa da Guia Amphitheater, in Cascais, will exhibit important cinematographic productions from Brazil and Portugal.

Entrance is free upon registration through the website www.acquacontentpt.com, where the complete schedule can also be found.

In addition to spreading the dialogue between the works of these countries, the first edition of the festival was born with the aim of promoting sustainable development and will address important issues related to the theme through its films and interactive panels, which will feature representative presences, such as the by environmental scientist Lucas Almeida Braga.

Opening the Festival, on the 23rd, the Brazilian documentary Tamboro, by director Sergio Bernardes, which addresses the main social and environmental issues in Brazil, such as the deforestation of the Amazon Forest. Another highlight of the theme is the film Amazônia – O Awakening Forest, to be shown on the 24th, at 3 pm, and after the film, there will be a conversation with the actress and director Cristiane Torloni.

In the program that includes more than 10 films, the Luso-Brazilian productions also stand out: O Grande Circo Místico by Cacá Diegues, co-produced by the Portuguese Fado Filmes and Luz Mágica and Someone Como Eu, by the director Leonel Vieira, who signs the script with Adriana Falcão.

The production and curatorship of Acqua Content – Cascais Film Festival is by Pacheco Monteiro and Kinobras: “It is a pleasure to be able to provide this exchange of experiences through art, in a pleasant and enchanting place, surrounded by nature and history like A Casa da Guia, in Cascais”, says Luciana Pacheco, one of the creators.

On the 23rd, from 7 pm, there will be an opening cocktail for guests and the press, with the right to a concert by the Trio Imperial, formed by singer Ursula Baldanza and musicians André Papadopoulos and Felipe Caneca.
