Cascais Rock Fest with national debuts of Lita Ford and Crazy Lixx

The Stranglers, Lita Ford, Cutting Crew, Dare, Crazy Lixx and Hot Stuff are the names of the Cascais Rock Fest poster, scheduled for next 24th and 25th at Estoril Casino, was released today.

This 3rd edition of Cascais Rock Fest opens with the Portuguese debut of the American Lita Ford, on Friday, the 24th.

The lineup of his show includes hits such as “Kiss Me Deadly”, “Shot Of Poison” and Ozzy Osbourne’s duet-recorded ballad “Close My Eyes Forever,” according to a casino statement.

This is followed by another debut on the national scene, the Swedish Crazy Lixx, who will present their latest album “Forever Wild”, which includes the songs “Silent Thunder” and “Break Out”.

The first day of the event ends with the Portuguese-Brazilian band Hot Stuff, led by Rodrigo Leal, in a celebratory show of its 25 years.

The Black and Silver Hall is the scene of this festival, with the shows starting at 9:30 pm, and opening on the second day with The Stranglers. Formed in 1974 in England, The Stranglers are one of the longest-lived bands in the Punk and New Wave movement.

The band’s current lineup consists of Baz Warne (vocals and guitar), Jean-Jacques Burnel (bass), Jet Black (drums) and David Greenfield (synthesizers).

The Estoril presentation will include hits such as “Always The Sun”, “Golden Brown” or “La Folie”.

Following is another English band, Cutting Crew, which will play songs such as “I Just Died In Your Arms Tonight” or “I’ve Been In Love Before.”

The festival is closed by the Dare, led by Thin Lizzy keyboardist Darren Wharton, who have themes like “Abandon” or “Into The Fire” in their repertoire.

Last year 3,000 spectators attended the Cascais Rock Fest, depleting the capacity of the Black and Silver Room on both days, according to Casino Estoril data.
