Casino Estoril continues fado cycle with Sara Paixão next Wednesday
It is next Wednesday, November 25, at 8:30 pm, that Sara Paixão will take the stage in Lounge D of Casino Estoril. The singer will be accompanied by Diogo Lucena Quadros on guitar and Luís Roquette on viola.
Born in Lisbon in 1991, Sara Paixão, discovered fado during her adolescence through Amália Rodrigues. She felt conquered by this musical style that she characterized as “unique” and started to give her a voice.
Sara Paixão had not sung or tried any other specific musical record and it was in fado that she discovered herself. After family approval, the young woman started her artistic career in amateur fado contests.
In 2011, the fado singer won the “Fado Vadio Contest” that took place in the city of Olhão and subsequently secured the podium in other relevant contests held in the cities of Loulé and Portimão.
With an artistic career on the rise, Sara Paixão has since then frequented the fadista medium in Lisbon. In her curriculum stand out performances in several Houses of Fado, in several private events and in shows in the regions of Algarve and Ribatejo.
The fado singer also signed several performances abroad, namely in countries such as Switzerland, Spain, and the Netherlands.
