Casino Estoril Opens 44th International Salon of Naive Painting at Art Gallery
Featuring Over 40 Works by 16 Artists
Casino Estoril opened the 44th edition of the International Salon of Naive Painting last Saturday. Featuring over 40 works by 16 artists, this group exhibition will be on view until September 15th at the Art Gallery. Admission is free.
Works by the following artists are on display: A. Barbosa, A. Réu, Ângela Gomes, Bento Sargento, Conceição Lopes, Cristiane Campos, Crucianu, Edna de Araraquara, Feliciana, Fernanda Azevedo, Juan Guerra, Manuel Castro, Maria Tereza, Noemi Eshet-Rosenweig, Silva Vieira, and Viorica Farkas.
“The artists present in this exhibition responded positively to the call made to ensure that this edition of the world’s oldest Naïve Painting Salon would prioritise the presentation of works of quality and authenticity. This painting style is essentially characterised by its great detail, lack of perspective, and a diverse colour palette,” says Pedro Lima de Carvalho, Director of the Estoril Casino Art Gallery.
“As Master Júlio Pomar once stated: ‘Naïve Painting is an Art conceived without sin,'” recalls Pedro Lima de Carvalho.
The Estoril Casino Art Gallery hosts the 44th edition of the International Naïve Painting Salon until September 15th. Admission is free.
