Casino Lisboa premieres, on the 1st of May, at 9 pm, the comedy “My Husband’s Lover” (“O Amante do Meu Marido”) at the Auditorium dos Oceanos. It is a fun cycle of shows that will feature Marta Andrino, Frederico Amaral, Rita Simões and Paulo Matos.
Asdrúbal dreamed of being an actor his whole life. His wife Constança has always ridiculed this dream and wants him to come and help her with her new lingerie business “before she does any more crazy things…”.
Determined to follow his dream, Asdrúbal gives his all in an audition that he records on video for a very special role… that of “crazy fagot”. His wife enters the house at that moment and watches everything, becoming convinced that Asdrúbal has a lover called Arnaldo. That same day, a distinguished man knocks on the door, one… Arnaldo, tries to seduce the owner of the house for whom he feels an irresistible attraction.
The maid Marilyn, who dreams of winning the parish club’s pageant and finding the love of her life, opens the door and is convinced that the man is coming looking for her.
Constança believes that Arnaldo is her husband’s lover and… revenge is served cold! Mistakes explode into an escalation of hilarious adventures, with crazy dialogues and truly absurd chases around the house. A true delirious “door comedy” where everyone makes mistakes and is undeceived in the end.
