Casino Lisboa offers its visitors a revamped music entertainment program in December.
There will be an extensive poster featuring, from Wednesday to Saturday, five bands at the Arena Lounge. Also, from Thursday to Saturday, shortly after midnight, several DJ’s known on the national scene. With free entry, the animation lasts until dawn.
It is already next Wednesday, the 4th, that the Covenants perform in the Arena Lounge. The band results from a pact between souls genuinely in love with melody and rhythm, and their harmonious unification. The performance cycle lasts until Saturday 7 December.
With an eclectic style, the pact has been made to put the soul in everything that is interpreted, always! It was also made the pact to rock, levitate and take with the band all those who want to accompany it while echoing the voices and chords of Yolanda Francisco (voice), Ronny Felipe (guitar), Jorge da Silva (piano) and David de Oliveira (drums).
From 11 to 14 December, Casino Lisboa hosts the “100 Years of Samba Tribute”. This group of experienced musicians pay tribute to Samba, in particular, its history and its composers and performers. Will be featured classics of the Brazilian song.
With Daniela Mendes in voice, André Marques da Silva on guitar, João Fião on percussion and Luís Delgado on drums, this quartet aims to recreate the best records of Noel Rosa, Cartola, Dona Ivone Lara or Martinho da Vila, among many others.
Alexandre Casimiro will be featured, from the 18th, at Casino Lisboa. On stage, she presents a blues, jazz and pop-rock cover project in her own name, featuring the best and boldest themes of the 70s, 80s, 90s and today. Alexandre Casimiro will be accompanied by Pedro Brito (guitar), Duarte Fernandes (drums) and Ricardo Neves (bass). Not to be missed, December 21st.
Born in 1995, in Alenquer, Alexandre Casimiro participated in 2014 on RTP1’s television program “The Voice Portugal”, where he placed 3rd in about 8,000 competitors.
From the 26th to the 28th of December, Casino Lisboa receives the Dueto Luz. Patricia Alves and Cláudio Alves take the stage to honour renowned names in Portuguese and Brazilian music. After five years playing together, brothers Patrícia Alves (voice) and Cláudio Alves (voice and guitar) decided to form a project that unites the passion they share for Portuguese Fado and Brazilian Popular Music. With an intimate record, Dueto Luz recovers hits from composers and musicians such as Djavan, Paulinho da Viola, Antonio Carlos, Jobim, Paulo de Carvalho, Alberto Janes, Amália Rodrigues or Alain Oulman, who combine in perfect harmony.
Miss Manouche is part of Casino Lisboa’s New Year’s Eve entertainment program. The band debuts, precisely on New Year’s Eve, continuing the performance cycle until January 4th. The swinging rhythm of the 1920s, the fiery passion of jazz and the compelling figure of Django Reinhardt are the calling card of this dynamic quartet.
The radio vocal hits of this era are the repertoire of Miss Manouche, full of warm and danceable rhythms to which it is impossible to remain indifferent. With Luis Bastos (clarinet/vocals), João San Payo (bass/vocals), Ian Mucznik (vocals/guitar) and Alcides Miranda (guitar).
