Castelo de Bragança lights up green to communicate with Irish Tourists
The Municipality of Bragança today marks Global Greening, an international initiative promoted by Ireland’s Tourism, on the occasion of St. Patrick’s Day, in which several of the most iconic monuments from around the world are lit up in green.
Given the growth potential of the Irish tourist market in our country, in an action coordinated with Turismo do Porto and North of Portugal, the Municipality seeks to promote the destination “Bragança”, using, for this, the image of one of the ex-libris of the brigantine tourism, the Castle.
It is important to mention that in 2019, before the pandemic, the Irish tourist market grew 39% in the North of Portugal, with our country being the 6th most sought after destination by the Irish.
The Castle of Bragança is thus associated with a list of several hundred monuments that will pay homage to the Irish festival in the four corners of the world, involving more than 50 countries, such as the United States, England, Australia, Italy, France and Spain.
