New album celebrating sharing and the little things that matter — accompanied by the single “Salvação” with Graciela Coelho.
Cavalheiro has just released “Pequena Sorte,” his new album, now available on all digital platforms. The album is accompanied by the single “Salvação,” a collaboration with Graciela Coelho, which follows the first single released on October 10th, “D’El Rei,” in partnership with Marta Moreira.
The title “Pequena Sorte” carries a double meaning: on one hand, it refers to a small collection of songs; on the other, it reflects the recognition of life’s little strokes of luck — gestures, encounters, and relationships — that so often prove to be the greatest. “The best thing in the world is people” serves as a key to understanding an album that is based on creative sharing.

“I like the idea of writing songs for other people, of hearing them sing things I’ve written. On this album I explored that more. Maybe in the future I’ll do almost exclusively that,” says Cavalheiro. “Pequena Sorte” (Little Luck) is, therefore, a choral portrait, a mosaic of voices that echoes different ways of feeling and looking at the world. Alongside Marta Moreira and Graciela Coelho, the musician also features collaborations with José Pedro Vinagre and João Costeira.
The new album continues a trajectory made of independence and aesthetic coherence, detached from fads or easy formulas. Influenced by artists such as Harry Nilsson, The Horrors, and Frédéric Chopin, Cavalheiro reaffirms his conviction that music should be a space for encounter and connection. “It is in people, in love, and in bonds that one finds what truly matters,” he emphasises.
Tiago Ferreira, Cavalheiro’s real name, was born in Porto and grew up in Santo Tirso, but it was in Braga that he consolidated his artistic career. Since 2009, when he released his first self-titled EP, he has built a discography marked by intimacy, melancholy, and lyricism: Primeiro (2010), Farsas (2011), Ritmo Cruzeiro (2012), Trégua (2013), Mar Morto (2015), Falsa Fé (2018), and Ilha Digital (2021) revealed a musician attentive to human frailties, distances, and the bonds that persist.
“Pequena Sorte” is now available on all digital platforms.
