CBRE has just added Forbes magazine’s ranking as one of the Best Companies for Women in 2019, in an independent review by market research firm Statist. More than 1,200 companies have been evaluated and CBRE is the only commercial real estate company to be on the list.
“Women are a driving force in CBRE’s success,” said Darcy Mackay, Director of Human Resources at CBRE Global. “We hope this recognition will encourage a lot more women to consider a career in commercial real estate and we are proud to be leading the way.”
Ana Gentil Martins, Executive Director of CBRE in Portugal, points out that “it is with great satisfaction that we see CBRE appointed as one of the best companies for women, a distinction we have received for the second consecutive year. As this distinction is attributed to CBRE, at the global level, CBRE Portugal has been developing a human resources strategy aimed at increasing the integration of women in an area traditionally led by men. This integration is carried out based on the merit of our collaborators, and it should be noted that we currently have 8 women in leadership positions. CBRE Portugal currently has a ratio of 50% of women in a total of 129 employees.
CBRE Women’s Network was formed in 2000 and has more than 4,000 members from all levels of the organization, the company’s three global regions and all business segments. The four fundamental principles guiding the Women’s Network are growth, connection, orientation, advocacy.
