CEEYS – Return to Portugal on 7 and 8 September
CEEYS will be back in Portugal on September 7th and 8th, for concerts in Porto and Ílhavo.
At the Porto concert, the German duo will play themes from all of their albums so far, focusing on the latest Hiddensee, released before the summer, featuring themes inspired by Portugal as the single Sagres CEEYS brothers made our country shortly after the fall of the Berlin Wall).
At Ílhavo’s concert, the central theme will be the Waende album that uniquely celebrates the fall of the Berlin Wall (next November 9th will be the 30th anniversary).
Waende portrays in the first person (the Selke brothers who make up the CEEYS lived in East Berlin) the experience, culture and society of divided Berlin. In the music created and played by CEEYS, using the piano, cello and also some electronic elements that have been recovered, we can access through the sounds and the introductions / explanations that are made as were the days and nights in Berlin.
