Concert at Coliseu dos Recreios Celebrates 10th Anniversary of Cante Alentejano World Heritage
To celebrate a decade since Cante Alentejano was inscribed on the Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO, the Municipality of Serpa / Museu do Cante Alentejano will hold a unique concert in Lisbon, at Coliseu dos Recreios, on 3 November 2024.
This show promises to be an exciting celebration of this Alentejo musical tradition.
The 11 choral groups from Serpa will participate, accompanied by the Symphony Orchestra composed of the Banda Filarmónica and guest musicians, providing an unforgettable journey through the melodies and harmonies that have echoed for centuries across the plains of Alentejo.
This concert is a unique opportunity to appreciate the diversity and cultural strength of this collective song, which continues to be a living expression of the Alentejo soul to this day.
