Hotel Casino Chaves will celebrate São Martinho, with gastronomic moments that elevate the autumn flavors. With special dinners on the 7th, 11th, and 14th of November, the menu includes delicious suggestions with dishes based on chestnuts and seasonal products.
The coming of the cold, typical of this time of year, calls for cozy meals rich in flavors that embrace the tradition of this thematic date.
On the 7th of November, the proposals include Crepes stuffed with seafood, Chestnut Cream with a tear of oil, Cod with a reduction of jeropiga, and a creamy broad bean, Iberian Loin garnished with roasted potatoes and pumpkin, and also, for dessert, a chestnut pudding.
On the day of São Martinho, 11 November, the suggestions fall on stuffed mushrooms, velvety chestnuts with fresh cream, braised hake with sautéed meunier and seasoned sautéed vegetables, pork knee garnished with regional smoked sautéed pork vegetables and chestnuts, as well as caramel and jeropiga semifreddo.
For dinner on the 14th, the menu features Alheira crunchy with caramelized chestnut, chestnut, and mushroom soup, chestnut-crusted cod with potatoes and sautéed greens, low-temperature steer with seasonal vegetable pearl, and a pudding of chestnuts.
