Thursday night program? There are scenes in Malaposta and they are all improvised. Characters that tell the story of a single night, secrets that are only between us, glasses of wine and laughter: every Thursday in February and March, the Cardume aim to make the Café-Teatro’s welcoming space at the point meeting between theater, the magic of improvisation and the intimacy of a discovery that actors and audiences make together.
The Cardume – Colectivo de Impro are a group of 9 improvisers who conceive and interpret improvised theater plays inspired by the suggestions of the audience present at each show. They are a project in constant progress that brings together improvisers with different origins and styles. Currently, they are the most numerous improvisation group in Portugal, which allows the unique creation of complex, dynamic and colorful collective scenes with several improvisers working in tune on stage.
The Cardume – Colectivo de Impro were born in 2015 and have evolved through continuous training with some of the most relevant national and international improvisers and actors (Os Improváveis - Portugal, John Mowat – England, Gustavo Miranda – Colombia, Patti Stiles – Australia, Daniel Nascimento – Brazil, Yann Van Den Branden – Belgium, Laura Doorneweerd – Holland, Inabl Lori – Israel, among others), with dozens of shows already on stage. Currently they regularly perform at the Orlando Ribeiro Auditorium in Telheiras, but shows have already taken place at Cossoul, Bartô, Teatro de Carnide, TeatroEsfera, among other venues.
