Leiria Intercultural Dialogue Center celebrates its 4th anniversary tomorrow
The program, which takes place at the Igreja da Misericórdia, includes a concert by the Philharmonic Nossa Senhora da Piedade, from Monte Redondo, this evening, on the 25th, at 6:30 pm. Tomorrow, the 26th, at 2:30 pm, Luís Mourão will host a session of the educational and playful activity “O Ponto do Conto“, set to music by the Leiria group CaosArte.
At 19:00, there will be a performative concert by the violinist Maria do Mar and, at 21:30, there will be an audiovisual performance by João Pedro Ferreira.
In addition to this program, the artistic installation “Unificador de Comunidade” is associated, on display from July 2nd to 26th at the Igreja da Misericórdia. This sound project focuses on the universe of memories, bringing together the community of the historic center of Leiria.
The Leiria Intercultural Dialogue Center intends to interpret the presence of three important religions in Leiria over the centuries.
Here, a tribute is paid to the coexistence of Christianity, Judaism and Islam, which have become a mark of development and multi-curalism in the region until today, thanks to the cultural and economic support and contribution of various migrant communities.
From its opening on July 26, 2017 until the end of June 2021, the Leiria Intercultural Dialogue Center has 44,767 visitors.
