The Pateira de Frossos Interpretation Center celebrates its 3rd anniversary on April 23rd, at 7 pm.
The date will be celebrated with a ceremony attended by Mayor Antônio Loureiro and several entities and partners who have followed the work of this space dedicated to appreciating the region’s natural and cultural heritage.
This year, the celebration takes on a special meaning with the official launch of the “Flora Guide | Pateira de Frossos”, a publication that is the result of two years of research and field surveys carried out by the Center’s team. The guide brings together a careful selection of the most representative botanical species of the territory, presented with photographs and accessible descriptions, promoting knowledge and appreciation of the local flora.
This project emerges as an educational and awareness-raising tool, accessible to both specialists and the general public, and constitutes another step in CIPF’s mission to foster a closer and more conscious relationship with natural heritage.
Since its inauguration, the Center has established itself as a meeting point between science, environmental education and the community, promoting regular activities for audiences of all ages. Its anniversary is a symbolic moment to recognize the positive impact of the work carried out and reinforce the commitment to preserving the biodiversity of Pateira de Frossos.
