Cepsa Foundation supports the Portuguese Federation of Food Banks Against Hunger
The Cepsa Foundation reinforces its fight against Covid-19 by supporting the Portuguese Federation of Food Banks Against Hunger with a donation of 5,000 euros.
The Portuguese Federation of Food Banks Against Hunger coordinates the action of the food banks in activity, representing them before the public authorities, national companies and international organizations. In addition, it also distributes some donations at national level, constituting an extended chain of solidarity. Food banks distribute cooked meals and food baskets to needy people, covering a total of more than 390 thousand people.
This donation is part of the action plan that the Cepsa Foundation launched at the beginning of the pandemic, which already counted with a donation of 10,000 euros to the Vida e Paz Community and the Humanitarian Association of Voluntary Firefighters of Leixões. The Cepsa Foundation has been collaborating with the various entities in order to contribute to the mitigation of the effects caused by Covid-19, especially among the most vulnerable groups.
Since the beginning of the crisis, Cepsa has implemented a Contingency Plan in line with the recommendations that the various authorities have determined, which has allowed it to keep its activity running and ensure the safety and health of its Customers, Suppliers, Employees, and Society in general. general. Aware of the role that the energy and chemical industry has, Cepsa has maintained a close collaboration to guarantee the energy supply, as well as implementing all the proposed measures to reduce the spread of the virus.
