Chakall honored with 2 Gourmand Awards in Macau
“I was taken by surprise”
In Macao last week to attend this year’s Gourmand Awards, Chakall was caught off guard when he was called to the stage to receive two awards: Food Person of the Year and Best TV Host. Chakall, invited by the organization, also participated as Master of Ceremonies of the night and made a show-cooking in the space Chef’s Kitchen.
The Argentine chef who adopted Portugal to live (and to work!) Had already been awarded in past editions, either by books of his own or by television programs, created and presented by him. This year, not having the (enormous) pressure of the appointments was baffled when he heard his name. “I was not expecting anything. Being a surprise to me, I learned particularly well, in a very challenging year like the one in 2019 when I have many projects in my hands in the national territory, but especially in the year in which I took the Portuguese exam successfully, I will finally get into my application for Portuguese nationality. “
