NOS Alive’20 receives the singer Charli XCX for the first time on the Sagres Stage to perform on July 8th. Joining the already confirmed for the same day, Kendrick Lamar, Jorja Smith, Black Pumas, and Fontaines D.C.
Throughout her career, Charlotte Aitchison, a.k.a. Charli XCX, has established herself as a pioneer artist in her musical production. With a refreshing entrepreneurial spirit, critically acclaimed, which allowed her to create her own path in global pop. Singer, songwriter, director, radio presenter, there is nothing that the 26-year-old Englishwoman cannot do.
Charli XCX has become one of the most interesting creators of her generation and it is the talent that has given us the multi-platinum hits: “Fancy”, “I Love It” and “Boom Clap”. The year 2017 was marked with the release of the two critically acclaimed mixtapes, “Number 1 Angel” and “Pop 2” and the hits “Dirty Sexy Money” with David Guetta and Afrojack, and this summer’s anthem, “Boys”. In 2018, with the release of several songs and having secured the first part of Taylor Swift’s global tour, he returns to the UK Top 15 with “1999” feat. Troye Sivan. Last year, after releases like Lizzo (“Blame It On Your Love”) and Christine and the Queens (“Gone”), Charli XCX released their third studio album in September, “Charli”, which was highly critically acclaimed – both for its innovative production as a composition.
With two Billboard Music Awards, a YouTube Music Award, two Sesac “Songwriter of the Year” Award and several nominations for the Grammys, BRIT Awards and MTV EMAs in the bag, Charlie XCX makes his debut at NOS Alive 2020, on July 8 on the Sagres Stage.
