A super fun dance show for all ages is back at the Tivoli BBVA Theater for three nights of dancing that will entertain the whole family. Yesterday, on the first night, a lot of laughter could be heard on the Lisbon stage.
“TUTU: Dance in All Its Glory” is a production by the Chicos Mambo company, premiered in 2014, at the legendary Théâtre Bobino Paris and had its first performances in Lisbon in 2023, an irreverent show, rich in artistic details, where music, costumes, lighting and scenography play a very significant role in the message it conveys.
Signed by Philippe Lafeuille, it brings to the stage six excellent male dancers who represent various characters, in opposition to the preconceptions associated with classical dance, which is represented mainly by female figures in tutus.
We can see fun dance numbers, such as a satire of the classics “Swan Lake” and “Dirty Dancing”, among others, where the dancers, sometimes with feathers, ballet tutus and exuberant costumes, make this show a true success beyond borders.
