Christmas Wine Experience: More than 200 wines in tasting at The Yeatman

It has already become a Christmas tradition in the city of Porto, but this year the great celebration of Portuguese wines is gaining new protagonists. The number of producers doubles in this 8th edition, testing more than 200 specially selected wines for the Christmas season.

A good wine is always a safe choice to offer or share in the various moments of celebration that surround the holiday season. Whether you’re looking for the perfect wine to offer to your father-in-law, surprise your colleagues at your company’s dinner party or share at the Christmas Eve table, The Yeatman will be your best advisor.

On the weekend of December 1st and 2nd, 100 of the best national producers will be presenting two specially selected wines for the holiday season. The Christmas Wine Experience invites you to taste and taste more than 200 wines, by the hand of its producer, listening to its history in the first person. The show, which runs from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., is accompanied by a buffet of quality Portuguese cheeses, sausages and olive oil.

It is now possible to book your ticket with an advance promotional price of € 45.00 per person until November 5 through the hotel’s event website. After this date, the event is set at € 50.00.

Before the official opening of the doors for the event, there will be two parallel workshops, dedicated to Port Wine, the nectar of election of the festive court. The challenge is to demonstrate the versatility of this wine in its combination with chocolate and in the creation of cocktails. Starting at 2:30 p.m., the workshops take place simultaneously on December 1 and 2 and cost € 10.00, which can be deducted from a wine purchase of equal or greater value on the day of the event.

But if your wine list is not even made of Christmas, in the Christmas Bazaar you will find a selection of suggestions like wine accessories, designer jewellery, perfumed soaps, sweets, among many products, many of them handcrafted and almost all made in Portugal.
