Churchill’s has just presented the complete renovation of the image of its iconic Meio Queijo wine, which sees its set of references increase with the launch of Meio Queijo Reserva, the new highlight in the portfolio of the Port and Douro boutique brand.
The brand bet on the renewal of the image of the packaging, a work that was inspired by the history and geography of the land where part of the grapes that make up the Half Cheese are grown. The workers at Quinta da Gricha always called “vineyard of the middle cheese” an area of vineyards on the farm, and the name stayed. The launch of Meio Queijo Reserva is a step awaited by connoisseurs of the brand. A premium blend produced exclusively with letter ‘A’ grapes from the Douro valley, aged for 12 months in French oak barrels.
“When we thought about developing the Half Cheese line, we had no doubt that the route would be a Reserva. It is a wine that comes to reveal an even more gastronomic side, combining those that are the typical characteristics of the Half Cheese harvest – an excellent expression of fruit with wine and balance, complemented by the notes of the wooden stage, which highlights the spicy and seductive profile. It is a versatile wine, which shows itself very well with the most varied harmonizations.” – describes Ricardo Pinto Nunes, Winemaker at Churchill’s.
The Half Cheese line, including the new reference Half Cheese Reserve, is now available at Moderna Distribuição. It will also be possible to find them in specialized wine cellars and several restaurants in the north and south of the country, as we can again share moments around the table.
