Luca Argel starts the year with the return of the acclaimed show “Samba de Guerrilla”, which takes to the stage of the Cine-Teatro de Pombal on February 22.
This multidisciplinary project, which is divided between music, literature, illustration and staging, rescues the political roots of samba and the role of its protagonists in the fight against slavery, racism and social inequalities.
The live show, which has already won over the public and critics, offers a real journey through time, presenting stories and characters that marked the history of samba as a tool for resistance and social transformation. On stage, next to Luca Argel will be the Portuguese-Angolan actress Nádia Yracema in narration, António Jorge Gonçalves in real-time illustration, and the music will be by Luca Argel accompanied by his band.
