Cinemundo starts distributing Warner Bros films in Portuguese theaters
With the contract signed with the North American distributor Warner Bros, Cinemundo will ensure the distribution, in theaters, of films such as ‘Space Jam 2’ (July 15), ‘The Suicide Squad’ (August 5), ‘Dune’ (September 16) and the fourth feature film in the ‘Matrix’ series (December 16).
Cinemundo, operating in Portugal since 2014, had already announced in 2020 that it would also hold distribution rights in Portugal for the Universal Pictures catalog, but the pandemic has postponed several debuts for this year.
These are the cases of ‘Fast & Furious 9’, which will arrive in Portuguese cinemas on June 24, or the second animated film ‘The Croods’, on July 1.
The premiere of ‘Old’, by M. Nigh Shyamalan, on July 22, the animations ‘Boss Baby’ (September 30) and ‘Sing 2’ (December 2), and ‘Downtown Abbey 2’ are also planned. (December 23).
