The Russo brothers’ spy thriller has been renewed for a second season on Prime Video and will be directed in full by Joe Russo.
Starting May 26th, the first episode of Citadel will be available for free on Prime Video for a limited time, and the first season will be fully available on the platform.
Prime Video today announced the renewal of the worldwide hit series Citadel for a second season, with Joe Russo as director of all episodes and executive producer David Weil as showrunner. The spy thriller, starring Richard Madden, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Lesley Manville, and Stanley Tucci, continues to enjoy great success around the world, including in India, Italy, Brazil, South Africa, the United Kingdom, and the United States. This is the second most-watched original series on Prime Video outside the United States and the fourth most-watched worldwide. The last episode of the first season will be available for Prime Video customers starting this Friday, May 26th.
Additionally, the first episode of Citadel will also be streamable without an Amazon Prime membership in over 240 countries and territories from Friday, May 26th through Sunday, May 28th.

It’s been 8 years since Citadel ended. The world’s independent spy agency charged with ensuring everyone’s safety has been destroyed by agents of Manticore, a powerful syndicate that manipulates the world from the shadows.
