In December, the festival’s organization had revealed that it was preparing an edition in hybrid format, with in-room and online sessions, but the evolution of the covid-19 pandemic forced a change of plans.
The program will only take place online, from the festival’s website, featuring Catarina Romano’s “Seja como for”, which debuts in an international competition.
“Seja como for” is Catarina Romano’s second film, an animated ‘short’ about loneliness, based on the story of an unemployed woman, who has been locked up in her home for a long time, apparently cloistered outside the possibilities of her own. historical time.
The film had financial support from the Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual, and was shown for the first time last October, at the Curtas festival in Vila do Conde.
The international festival of Clermont-Ferrand is considered to be one of the most relevant dedicated to short films, will run until the 43rd edition until February 6, and also has the usual market dedicated to this format, also in virtual mode.
