CLIP presents avant-garde project at the largest international education conference

CLIP – Colégio Luso Internacional do Porto, will be the only Portuguese school to participate in the largest international education conference, the World Education Summit, which will take place online between the 22nd and 25th of March, online.

In this convention, CLIP will present the Hackathon project, a cutting edge pedagogical initiative that has been carried out annually together with the students. The conference will address topics such as teaching, learning, innovation and leadership strategies relevant to the evolution of the educational system.

“Participating in this conference reinforces CLIP’s position as a center for excellence in teaching and learning, combining academic programs in England and the University of Cambridge with learning methods focused on the development of key competences”, ensures the Dean of CLIP, Isabel Morgado.

These methods argue that students should work with transversal skills such as emotional intelligence, creativity, critical thinking, adaptability, resilience, teamwork, communication and leadership applied in labor market contexts. Environmental, technological, social and cultural awareness are also extremely important for the context of learning at this school, which brings together students and teachers from more than 50 nationalities and cultures.

The school will count with the presence of all its teaching and non-teaching staff during the four days of this online event, resulting in a unique professional development experience that will reinforce the path of pedagogical innovation made to date. The college believes that everyone is an integral part of each student’s learning process and, therefore, professional development should not be limited to teachers only.
