Coimbra hosts poetry slam festival
The festival will occupy several spaces in the city of Coimbra, with all events free of charge.
With the theme ‘The Sound of the Word’, the festival will feature workshops, performances, soirees, debate tables on poetry, a book fair and battles of spoken poetry that will decide the national champion.
On June 5th, at 7:30 pm, the main event of the poetry championship will take place, to be held in the gardens of the Academic Association of Coimbra,
The winner of the final will represent Portugal in the ‘Slam World Cup’, a championship that takes place every year in France and which brings together representatives from more than 30 countries.
