Waltzes, polkas, operetta openings and marches of the Strauss family: these are the four main elements of the New Year’s Concert founded in Vienna in 1939. The tradition has been made and remains – now expanded on a global scale.
But since then, the world has changed a lot, and also the fifth essence of these moments. Always unique, it depends on the renewed spirit and hope with which we always gather around music at the break of each calendar. Because it is ours, it is unique. There is no New Year’s Concert like this.
