The municipality of Seixal welcomes 2024 with the Cais Sodré Funk Connection concert, on December 31st, starting at 10 pm, in the riverside area of Amora, and fireworks launched over Seixal Bay.
«Like previous years, Seixal enters the new year with lots of music, entertainment and joy next to the Bay. With a band that is already a national reference, this New Year promises, like previous ones, to welcome thousands of people who, in a festive atmosphere, will welcome the new year. We are now invited to come and celebrate the arrival in 2024, in the municipality of Seixal», says the president of the City Council, Paulo Silva.
Born in the heart of the bohemian neighbourhood that gives them their name, Cais Sodré Funk Connection are a band of veterans of Portuguese music and true ambassadors of funk and soul. The «soul power» is ensured by Francisco Rebelo, on bass, João Gomes, on keys, David Pessoa, on guitar, Rui Alves, on drums, and the powerful wind section of João Cabrita, José Raminhos and Miguel Marques, duly accompanied by the master of ceremonies NBC and the seductive voice of TAMIN (Telma Santos). With more than 200 concerts, Cais Sodré Funk Connection continues on the road with new songs under their belt and always celebrating adulthood, without losing the contagious energy of their soul-funk. Soon, Cais Sodré Funk Connection will release a new album of originals that will feature new songs sung in Portuguese, starting a new cycle without ever losing the essence of funk.
